"We are proud to have worked closely with The Portuguese Golf Federation in creating this event for the second consecutive year. Without doubt investment in golf at a grass roots level remains a priority for us at Oceânico and we will continue to strive to give youngsters the opportunity to compete on a Championship course in Championship conditions," commented Chris Stilwell CEO of Oceânico Golf.
Lee Westwood, 2009 Race to Dubai winner and Oceânico ambassador, whose own UK based academies have been developing youngsters over the last year since their launch said, "Having companies such as Oceânico invest so widely in the game of golf is something that all of us who play the game should be thrilled with. Events such as these are crucial for the development of the game and something dear to my heart. The more we can do to nurture the youngsters in the game, the better the future of golf will be."
