Location

The Amendoeira Golf Resort, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, is perfectly positioned in the central Algarve, a world-class golfing region close to the most south-westerly tip of Europe.

The Resort is just 35 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport along the A22 motorway, 4 kilometres inland from the beach resort of Armação de Pêra.

The Amendoeira clubhouse will be less than a kilometre to the north of the motorway.

The two golf courses at Amendoeira are the first to be built within the Camara (Local Council) of Silves, the ancient capital of the Algarve and an area steeped in history.

The Resort lies just inside the southern boundary of the borough, a short drive to the thriving town of Silves itself, with its many bars and restaurants serving traditional local cuisine, all overlooked by its’ 4/5th Century castle and old city walls.

Silves has a colourful history, occupied by the Romans, and later the Moors, it became, after liberation by the Crusaders, a prosperous town, rivalling Lisbon as a centre of culture.
